- Wear comfortable, broken in, sturdy shoes. Paris is an old European city with cobblestones and irregular sidewalks. You will be walking a lot and if your feet hurt, you won’t have any fun.
- Skip taking taxis and Uber. Walk or take the Metro. The metro is convenient, inexpensive, and will take you anywhere you need to go.
- Buy tickets in advance and make reservations for popular museums and monuments. It will usually cost you less money and you will skip standing in ridiculously long lines.
- If you want amazing photos in the most “Instagram-able” places without all of the extra people, then you will have to get up early. It’s worth it, you will love your pictures.
- Take time to wander. If there is anything I learned from the last 3 months of living in Paris, is that there are so many beautiful things to be discovered there. Those things won’t necessarily be on a bucket list of tourist hotspots though. Happy Wandering!
