Believe it or not, the Luxembourg Gardens or Jardin du Luxembourg has been around since 1612. Marie de’ Medici, the widow of King Henry IV, constructed the Luxembourg Palace as her new residence.
Today, the garden is owned by the French Senate and the palace on the grounds is where they hold their meetings.
The flowers are beautiful, as you can see, and there are tons of chairs and park benches to rest on while you enjoy the fountains and the sculptures.
It was delightful to spend the afternoon here!
