Today I ventured outside of the city and made it all the way to Normandy. Claude Monet settled in Giverny in 1883 and I went to see his house and the famous gardens.

There are two gardens, one in front of the house full of colorful flowerbeds and another, Japanese inspired water lily pond.

The gardens have little pathways between rows of lovely blooms, with benches scattered here and there, to stop and enjoy the view.

One could spend hours meandering around this place… and I did!
